MAKAHA BEACH PARK 84-369 Farrington Highway, Makaha
A mecca for board surfers. Site of international competitions. Waves up to 25 feet in
winter. Swimming, snorkeling in summer only. Scuba divers frequent the "Makaha Caves"
- a spectacular series of underwater arches and caverns.
YOKOHAMA BAY BEACH PARK End of Farrington Highway (Hwy 93). Last sandy stretch of shore on Northwestern Oahu
Secluded, white sand beach. Board surfing spot for experts only. Hike to Kaena Point, Oahu's
westernmost tip (2.7 miles/90 minutes one-way). Note: You cannot drive around Kaena Point.
Do not swim - dangerous all year.
