The plein air or open air painting session begins with a need to simplify visual details with a point of view. As the image develops and the weather changes, the bright tropical sunlight and luminous clouds on the horizon quickly become vivid brush stroke impressions, and the natural elements of the earth, ocean and sky breathe life into the wet paint.
