As the entire Nu'uanu Ave. will be closed off to cars, the community is flipping the script & occupying the street with live music, artist booths & demonstrations, life size chess game, cafe lounge seating, Biki Bikes & refreshing beverage vendors.

(OUTSIDE) ART TOUR & BLOCK WALK

The day’s festivities will include two guided walks along Pauahi Street, focusing on envisioning ideas for public art in the temporary bulbouts along Pauahi at the corners of Nu‘uanu, Smith, and Maunakea Streets. Lively interactive discussions about the past, present, and futures of the area and ideas for enlivening its streets, artwork, and public spaces.

(OUTSIDE) "COMMUNITY KILN" CERAMICS FIRING 
2018 Raku Hoʻolauleʻa - Pauahi St. 11a-4p
The public is invited to get “hands on” and personally experience raku, a ceramic tradition that originated in 16th century Japan. Individuals may purchase and glaze their own tea bowls, watch as Hawai`i Craftsmen volunteers fire the tea bowls, and take their bowls home after they have cooled and been cleaned. 

(OUTSIDE) WILD SIDE FASHION SHOW
Nuuanu Ave at the Pauahi St. 1 pm
Imagine a world where animals come out to prowl up and down Nuuanu Ave. The 2018 Miss Hawaii contestants come from the depths of the jungle to showcase fashions from vendors Bonnie's Closet Pop-up, Casual Movements, Trading Heritage. Also see creative designs from "Follies fame" designer Bill Doherty and watch as Dustin Caravalho and Studio M 7 texture salon transform the Miss Hawaii contestants with out of Africa hair and makeup designs. 

(INSIDE) STREET SEWING SCHOOL & COSTUME SALE
In Arts at Marks Garage 11a-4p
Event inspired by a story of a mini “green” sewing school at The Arts at Marks Garage that teaches adults who missed out on home-ec classes the opportunity to learn sewing technques using recycled materials. 

A hui of Oahuʻs Theatrical Costumers will provide ages 8 and up an opportunity to stitch on a sewing machine and learn to sew on buttons. Two community art projects will be completed �" one button wall hanging and a large patchwork drape. In addition, costumes from Oahu theatres will be available for sale for collectors or for newly minted sewers to alter.
