Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council to meet in Honolulu, Oahu

Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary will hold an advisory council meeting at the Interisland Terminal Conference Room number 3 the Iliahi room at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. The meeting is open to the public.

Councilmembers will meet to review and revise workplans, address new action items, and provide council updates.

WHAT:                        Sanctuary Advisory Council Meeting

WHEN:                        Oct. 30, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
                                    Public comment will be taken at 11:45 a.m. and 3 p.m.

WHERE:                     The Interisland Terminal Conference Room 3 �" Iliahi at the Daniel K.    Inouye International Airport
                                    300 Rodgers Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96819

WHO:                          The Sanctuary Advisory Council is comprised of members representing the islands of Molokaʻi, Lanaʻi, Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi, Maui, and Oʻahu in addition to local user groups, Native Hawaiian cultural advisors, fishing, business, conservation, science, education, and community representatives. Federal and state agency representatives also hold seats on the council.

The sanctuary is administered by a partnership of NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries and the State of Hawai‘i through the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR).
