"NIGHT AT THE REEF" @ MAUI OCEAN CENTER

Maui Ocean Center celebrates International Year of the Reef in 2008 by launching a new program, inviting the public to visit the aquarium's Living Reef exhibits after-hours. Volunteers from local eco-organizations will be present with information on the state of Hawaii's coral reef eco-systems. Pupu and beverages will be available for purchase. www.mauioceancenter.com

OBON DANCE & FESTIVAL - KAHULUI HONGWANJI MISSION

The season of remembrance of honoring the spirit of those passed on celebrated with special services and festivals. Kahului Hongwanji Mission, 291 S Puunene Ave in Kahului. Services begins at 7 p.m. with dancing at 8 p.m.

OBON DANCE & FESTIVAL - MAKAWAO HONGWANJI MISSION

The season of remembrance of honoring the spirit of those that passed on celebrated with special services (6:30pm) and festivals (7:30pm). Makawao Hongwanji Mission, 1074 Makawao Ave.

KEIKI HULA FESTIVAL
Place: 1221 Honoapiilani Highway, Lahaina, HI 96761, (808) 661-5304
Date: 7/26/2008 through 7/27/2008
This free, two-day event celebrates the talent and grace of Maui's keiki (children) as they express the traditional values of Hawaii and the Pacific Islands through the art of hula.
