Preserving our Land - Perpetuating our Culture NATURE CONSERVANCY OF HAWAII HIKES Date: Monthly Place: Kamakou and Moomomi Preserves Nature Conservancy staff and volunteers lead a monthly hike into the lush rainforest of the Kamakou Preserve and into the Moomomi Preserve, a last stronghold of a major Hawaiian coastal ecosystem that contains numerous archaeological sites. Hike leaders will meet you at the Molokai airport at 8:30 am, serve as interpretive guides throughout the hike, and return you to the airport by 3:30 pm. Reservations and a deposit are required. ALOHA MUSIC CAMP Date: February 4 - 10 Place: Kaupoa Beach Village Join Hawaii's beloved Beamer Family and friends for a week long immersion into the music, dance and culture of Hawaii. Learn slack key guitar and ukulele from master musicians Keola Beamer and Kevin Brown; learn hula, oli (chant) and oloelo (language) and talk story with Aunty Nona Beamer and na kupuna o Molokai.
