J AND L CREATIONS Miniature Hawaiian Ornaments by JASMINE FONTANILLA

We create authentic miniature Hawaiian feathered gourd masks and hula ornaments such as uliuli (feather gourd rattle), puili (split bamboo rattle), ipu (gourd hand drum), ohe hanoiho (nose flute).

After extensive research, we have been able to replicate the actual methods of construction employed by the ancient Hawaiians. All of the natural materials used to create the ornaments (kamani nuts, bamboo, dried foliage, coral, koa wood, uki grass) are carefully hand collected from our mountains and ocean.

Our miniature ornaments are uniquely arranged on black rocks and displayed in beautiful Plexiglas cases.
