The PHG Foundation was established in the Fall of 1991 to promote, support and preserve arts and fine crafts in the Hawaiian Islands.
A non-profit organization, the Foundation has established five $1,000 art scholarships to be given annually to Hawaiian residents for college level studies in the Arts. The Hawaii Community Foundation is the administrator of the scholarship funds. Anyone interested may apply through that organization.
In addition, the PHG Foundation and its members are partners in The ARTS At Marks Garage Project, part of the Honolulu cultural district restoration. In 2003, the Foundation is planning classes and demonstrations by its members in diverse areas of art which will be scheduled at the Arts Center for the community.
The PHG Foundation also supports the Adopt-A-Teacher program which assists teachers in their classroom with their art supplies.
